Founder and History

The Founder and Co-Founder of Aequitas Victoria Foundation, Mr. Jayanta Boruah and Mr. Sarthak Aryan respectively planned for establishing a platform to encourage the spirit of research amongst the students of social sciences. The plan for opening this journal even formed the backbone of creating the Aequitas Victoria Foundation as a publisher. The working and development process started as soon as the First Foundation Day celebration of the organization on August 15th, 2020 was over. The year 2020 which was marked as a blockade in the development of constructive platforms due to the outbreak of COVID-19 allowed the Founders of Aequitas Victoria Foundation to open this platform on the very Independence Day of the nation (India). Initially, the Journal was planned to be opened at the National Level but later on, due to overwhelming support and love from all the members of the Board of Advisors as well as from the Official members, the Managing Committee decided to launch this Journal at the International Level.
Mr. Jayanta Boruah is a student of law who passed his BALLB as a Batch Topper from University Law College Gauhati University and LLM as a Gold Medallist from National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam. He qualified UGC NET in the first attempt which is an exam conducted by NTA under the directions of UGC in India for accessing the eligibility of Assistant Professor. He became the Assistant Professor of Law in NERIM Law College at the age of 24 years and was also enrolled as an Advocate under Gauhati High Court. At the time of inaugurating the Aequitas Victoria Foundation, he was enrolled in Ph. D Program in North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. Besides holding his interest in Law, he further completed BA in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University and MA in Sociology from Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University through Distance Mode of Education where again he was awarded Gold Medallist. He has also pursued Visharad in Vocal and was pursuing Visharad in Tabla at the time of inaugurating the organization. Further, he holds the experience of completing several courses like Diploma in IPR, Certificate in Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Space Law, etc. To his credit he has 50 publications in Journals, magazines, books, etc. including UGC Approved Journals, Indexed Journals, ISSN Magazines, ISBN Books, etc. He also presented papers at various International and National Conferences. Possessing a lot of interest in the field of academics, forced him to contribute to establishing this Journal.
Mr. Sarthak Aryan, the Co-Founder of the Aequitas Victoria Foundation was the person who brought the idea of this organization into reality with his skills and expertise. He, at the time of inaugurating this organization, was a student pursuing BALLB from National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam. He planned the entire structure of the Website of the organization and also managed to give a physical existence to this organization. He showed his immense interest in the field of research and education through his continuous efforts in presenting and publishing papers as well as in participating in various academic events. This interest encouraged him to direct his efforts towards establishing this noble platform.
Later, on the absolute majority recommendation from the Managing Committee and on the suggestions from the Board of Advisors of the Aequitas Victoria Foundation, the approval for establishing the journal was passed.
